Plant Lovers for Texas Hurricane Relief

Fairyblooms loves Texas

Here we go! Plant Lovers for Texas Hurricane Relief…

Update 9/4/17:  I am deleting the YouCaring.com page I set up due to several technical problems and a lack of tech support. I can’t even update the page to announce this. BUT the total raised in one day – $45 – was donated to the students at Sharpstown High School <3
Keep giving when and where you can!!

From Rockport, where Harvey made landfall, to Port Arthur, Beaumont, and Orange County, and the other towns in what is known as the Golden Triangle, all hands are on deck here in Houston and pushing out help as quickly as possible.

I’ve teamed up with several others from the #succulent family who are going to throw down some awesome plant-based goodies and other things for giveaways and auctions to benefit the hurricane relief efforts. Stay tuned for details to be added here and follow me on Instagram for updates. Let me know if you are too and I’ll let others know! You can use the hashtag #plantloversfortexas to help find your posts.

A few good organizations you should help:

United Ways of Texas – Houston was only one of many communities impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Beaumont, Orange, Port Arthur, Rockport, Corpus Christi, and many others in Southeast Texas and West Louisiana need our help.

Houston Undocumented Communities Flood Relief Fund
–
Countless immigrant families were too afraid to reach out to help for fear of being arrested or deported. Let’s show them we hear them, we see them, and we care for them.

Refugee Services of Texas– Serves some of the most vulnerable among our communities.

Houston Food Bank  – The best thing you can do to help the Houston Food Bank right now is to make a donation of money designated for disaster relief.

Greater Houston Community Foundation –  Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner established this fund for hurricane relief.
