You may remember this cactus from my video on how to build an in-ground succulent garden. Well it finally bloomed and I can confirm the ID is Echinopsis schickendantzii!!
That may be a mouthful but you can remember it sounds like ‘chicken dance’ lol! Here’s a 6-hour time-lapse starting at 7pm and ending at 1am. The blooms are still open the following day unlike Echinopsis subdenudata ‘Domino cacti’ which only last one day usually. It was so neat to watch and I’m really proud of the results of my first ‘real’ time-lapse video.
