In Part 1 we see how bad the damage is after a multi-day hard freeze in Houston, Texas. In Part 2, I start attempting to make some rescues.

This is the saddest video I’ve posted on this channel… but I thought y’all might want to see what happens after a sustained record freeze like we just experienced in Texas and other parts of the south.
Due to some really bad calls by Texas leaders, most of our power grid is not connected to the rest of the nation’s, it was never winterized for temperatures this low. We were told we might see rolling blackouts ranging from 15 minutes to an hour but what actually happened was MILLIONS of people lost power for 80 hours or more.
It was a nightmare and only got worse as the water system stopped working too. Many people who had brought their plants indoors lost them to freezing temperatures INSIDE their homes!
Of course we are blessed to have found shelter when we lost power, and things are getting back to normal now, but it didn’t have to be this bad, and should never be allowed to happen again.
